If your production needs arid or desert locations, Mexico has a great diversity of options to crystallize the vision of the filmmaker.
Mexico has large desert regions most of them composed by covered plains of pastures, seemingly endless dunes and steep hillsides of mountains.
Your location scouters will find arid, sandy areas, similar to those of the American southwest, in the deserts of northern Mexico. Some are like the Sahara, with moving dunes but most of them are solid eroded surfaces. The most extensive deserts are to be found in the peninsula of Baja California, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Durango and Sonora. In the north and northwest of the country semiarid areas can be located, with scarce grasslands and bushes and abundant proliferation of cacti, as well as semi desert areas in the center of the country, as in the State of Querétaro.
From the center to the north of the country, in Mexico you can find any possible arid or desert scenery for any production
